- Is this QR code generator really free?
- Yes. Every style, logos and SVG downloads are free, with no watermark and no account needed.
- Do the QR codes expire?
- No. These are static QR codes: your link or text is stored in the code itself, so it works for as long as the link does. There's no subscription that can switch it off.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Not on a static code, because the link is part of the pattern. If you think the address may change, point the code at a page you control and update that page instead.
- Will my QR code still scan with a logo?
- Yes, as long as the logo stays small. With a logo the code uses the highest error correction, which lets it lose part of its pattern and still scan. Test it with your phone before you print.
- What colors work best?
- Dark dots on a light background. Light codes on dark backgrounds can fail in some camera apps, and low-contrast colors are hard to read. The generator warns you when your colors may not scan.
- PNG or SVG?
- PNG for websites, social posts and documents. SVG for print: it's a vector, so it stays sharp on a poster or a sign.
- How big should a printed QR code be?
- At least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 inch) for something held in the hand, like a business card. For posters, make it about a tenth of the distance it will be scanned from.
- How do I make a QR code for Wi-Fi?
- Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password and pick the security type. Guests point their camera at the code and join without typing the password.
