Larger images shrink to fit; smaller ones keep their size. SVGs are drawn at exactly this size.

Convert JPG to PNG for editing without more loss.

Every time a JPG is edited and saved, it's compressed again. Saving it as PNG stops that, which helps when the image is headed for more editing, a design or a slide.

Your files never leave your device.

Questions people ask

Does PNG make my JPG better quality?
No. It keeps the image exactly as it is now, without improving what JPG compression already removed. It just stops any further loss.
Will the PNG have a transparent background?
Not by itself: a JPG has no transparency to keep. After converting, choose Remove background on the result to cut out the subject.
Why is the PNG so much bigger?
PNG stores every pixel without loss, which takes more space for photos. That's expected.
Is it private?
Yes. The conversion runs in your browser, so the files stay on your device: nothing is uploaded, stored or seen by us.
